Meet Joselyn 👋🏽!

This high school freshman is a lover of science who hates the sight of blood and the smell of rubbing alcohol. Despite this, you can find her volunteering at the hospital, but mostly in the nursery and gift shop—as she gets 10% off packs of Welch's Fruit Snacks. After noticing a few too many patients with the same symptoms but few commonalities, she goes on an epidemiologic adventure to figure out what is making the people in her small town sick before it spreads further at the State Fair.

I used #AIart to get this character out of my head and onto paper, and I am so happy with the results! I am trying something new with my writing on my latest writing project, but I got stuck when I couldn't fully visualize the character. Getting an image helped me develop Joselyn's characteristics and personality. I don't know if her story will ever be published but I like and appreciate the writing challenge of breaking out of my children’s book bubble.
